ADIDAS CONSORTIUM X KITH “ASPEN PACK”
LAUNCHING 31ST DECEMBER

This winter, adidas Consortium joins Ronnie Fieg’s KITH in Colorado where the New York-founded brand and retailer is hosting a three-month pop-up in the heart of the snowy mountains.

adidas and Fieg have worked closely together throughout the year to offer a very special limited-edition Aspen pack. The latest collaboration draws together various influences which marry street style with outdoor performance functionality.

Both models in the KITH Aspen pack push not only stylistic barriers but also those of geography and terrain, blurring the distinction between the city and the mountains.

The first model in the KITH Aspen pack is the Response Trail BOOST. Fundamentally a trail shoe with a reputation for being tough and functional.Still high on tech, it comes equipped with a neoprene collar and a speed lacing system. The sole is a hybrid of exposed BOOST and hard-wearing, grippy rubber. Outdoor footwear is currently enjoying a big moment in the cities among sneaker enthusiasts looking for a shoe robust enough to withstand the cold, while still providing them with the level of comfort they are accustomed to.

The collaboration will also debut the first ever UltraBOOST Mid. The execution extends the original lower silhouette with a snug, sock-like enclosure at the ankle. The upper is cageless with a subtle taped panelling, a nod to the original adidas 3-Stripes branding. Rather than the conventional Primeknit, Fieg’s new UltraBOOST Mid is constructed using a thicker wool suitable for the winter months. It arrives in a festive multicolor pattern with laces to seamlessly match the upper.

END. X REEBOK INSTAPUMP FURY “PINK SALMON”
LAUNCHING 25TH DECEMBER

Uniting with Reebok for the final collaborative offering for 2016, END. once again takes on the former’s most iconic silhouette of all. Arriving to the sneaker market over twenty-five years ago, the Instapump technology revolutionised the time-honoured tradition of lacing, with the futuristic Instapump Fury arriving in the mid-’90s to revitalise the concept for the next generation.

Inspiration for END.’s fourth collaboration with Reebok derives from one of Mother Nature’s most intriguing creations, the salmon. This majestic animal’s instinct for survival, teamed with the incredible journey it undertakes during its lifetime, have seen it surrounded by a rich web of myth and folklore around the world.

An instantly recognisable shade of pink dresses the END. x Reebok Instapump Fury ‘Pink Salmon’, celebrating the distinctive colour of the fish’s flesh. A premium suede embossed to resemble the overlapping design of fish scales sits beneath a ballistic nylon cage imbued with the innovative technologies that have seen the silhouette become truly legendary.

The bold salmon-pink upper stands atop a speckled midsole, its subtle tonalities picking up on the shoe’s black suede heel panel. Woven heel pulls are completed with the succinct END. branding, whilst Reebok’s own graphic arrives in an embroidered iteration to the tongue and heel.

ADIDAS CONSORTIUM TOUR: EQT RUNNING SUPPORT 93 X HAL
LAUNCHING 10TH DECEMBER

Perth,Western Australia is among the most remote urban areas on the planet – being over 2.000km away from the nearest city. From this outpost, clothing and footwear retailer Highs and Lows opened its first store in 2005, which is located on the far west of the vast desert that makes up 1.4 million km2 of mainland Australia. It is this unique location and relationship with the dry, arid, inhospitable expanse that provides the inspiration for HAL’s EQT Running Support 93.

To venture, along the long isolated roads of the Australian outback requires a tough vehicle and a tougher mentality. This EQT is based on the muscle cars that rose to cinematic and cultural significance during the 1970s and 1980s. An era where cars were gutted, hybridized and pushed to their performance limits. This approach to internal and external modifications to a vehicle is often referred to as “Frankensteining”.

The EQT came after the iconic muscle cars, but it is from an era of tough runners. The early 90s were a period when immediate style and performance converged on the feet of runners around the world. This year they are back on the feet of clued-up, history conscious footwear enthusiasts.

ADIDAS CONSORTIUM TOUR: SNEAKERSNSTUFF D ROSE 7 PK
LAUNCHING 3RD DECEMBER
The next stop of the globe-spanning Consortium tour is Stockholm. Footwear specialists Sneakersnstuff have reworked the D Rose7 PK, a contemporary basketball model in a patriotic colourway.

First opened in Stockholm in 1999, Sneakersnstuff today operate stores in Berlin, Paris and London. Founded by Erik Fagerlind and Peter Jansson, a pair with a passion for style and background in performance footwear and apparel, their store has developed a reputation for several heavyweight collaborations over the years. Here, SNS, lead the D Rose 7 PK on the path between the basketball hardwood and the wider world of sneaker culture.

The D Rose 7 PK, is the signature model of Chicago-raised, New York-based point guard Derrick Rose. A gymnastic scorer, clairvoyant passer and ingenious playmaker that works closely with adidas to develop a model that delivers on the court. When it comes to basketball footwear adidas pulls out all the stops, the Primeknit upper and BOOST sole provide strength and support, flexibility and cushioning while additional grip on the sole allows the D Rose 7 PK to be super responsive.

Historically, there is a rich heritage of basketball footwear becoming casual footwear with time. However, today, models are already designed with a versatile aesthetic to fit both the sporting arena and the streets from the beginning. Rather than taking a decade to be embraced by the wider world, basketball footwear makes the immediate crossover.

The SNS D Rose 7 PK arrives in soft grey, with yellow and blue detailing. The two accents, the colours of the Swedish flag, area and nod to Sneakersnstuff’s adidas Stockholm they designed a few years back and a reference to Derrick Rose’s high school team.

To celebrate Titolo’s 20th anniversary in 2016, they have partnered once again with their long-standing friend le coq sportif to create their version of the LCS R1000.
Italo Titolo, the store’s founder explains the collaboration: With its play on contrast in peach and mint, the LCS R1000 Mellow Mint is a refreshing burst of colour for the winter season. The sneaker combines both smooth and perforated peach-coloured nubuck on a mint sole. Elegant details, such as mint lining and a transparent peach sole base add to this sneaker’s soft contrast. The round Titolo anniversary logo features on the right shoe tongue while le coq sportif’s triangular logo features on the left. This play on opposites is also seen on the heels of this special anniversary edition.

MITA SNEAKERS X ASICS GT-II “SQUIRREL”
LAUNCHING 3RD DECEMBER

Asics GT-II was released in 1986. This year, 2016 is the 30th anniversary of the GT-II which is the first product that Gel was applied. Asics joins forces with the classic Mita Sneakers store to present this new edition.

While the motif of this design is a squirrel that is running around legerity in the park where city runners go for jogging tracks, Asics and the japanese store also applied their epoch design. Asics came up to our imaginate story that the above combination would lead us making shoes to move freely, and it was the source of the shoes.

As the image of a squirrel, there are different lengths of suede, and various tones of brown at uppers and outsoles of shoes create a gradation design. The each side of shoes have different design: the Asics iconic tricolor and the Squirrel’s coat. This design came from a story that the squirrel is wearing Asics Tiger. Moreover, the text “EYGHTYSYXTOSYXTEEN” is engraved on its midsole to commemorate our 30 years history.

The Mita Sneakers x Asics GT-II “Squirrel” will be available this Saturday, December 3rd at limitEDitions.
